Great classic event completing the IRC national Atlantic series,the 2011 series took place in Lorient on september 23/25th.

M34 at Spi Ouest, France

Twelve M34 at top-level came to compete in the Spi Ouest France for the very first time.
11 races have been run in light breezes and the fight was so hot between Franck Cammas on “Groupama” and Daniel Souben on “Courrier Dunkerque”, that only 1 point was the gap at the end of championship between the first finishers’.
Nicolas Troussel, on « Bretagne – Crédit Mutuel Elite » finished third on general results and all people there has been impressed by his performance, as he was the winner of 3 legs in front of Bertrand Pacé on “ Espace Mer Sailing Events” and Jimmy Pahun on “Ile de France”.

The M34 report that you can read in the last Voile Magazine issue (June).
“The M34 was very considered as the Spi Ouest as her first major event, meaning the M34 fleet made a big show in La Trinité. Definitely the M34 is just brilliant for races up and downwind around 3 buoys and fights were just great!
So exiting, waiting for the Tour!”

The M34 is now back in Plymouth after a sucessful London Boat Show. The sails have been ordered and should be arriving any day ready for test sailing. The yacht won’t be in Plymouth for long so early booking is essential. Call 01752 226650.

We will be displaying the one design M34 at the London Boatshow, Excel from the 7th to the 16th January on stand M22. Come and see for yourself this preformance race yacht.

There is now 17 yachts confirmed for the 2011 Tour de Voile and another 5 yachts purchased into 8 countries including England.

Number 9 M34 in production

The 6th M34 will be delivered to her new owner this week, while in the boatyard number 9 is already under production.

Each M34 has her hull, deck and bulkheads infused under vacumm with expoxy resin and then the components are polymerized and at 55 degrees celcius for several hours.

British Solder competes in The ARC

‘British Solder’ (A40RC), sailed by the Army Sailing Association have had a good start in the ARC. They started in bright sunshine with light NE winds. They are currentily doing 6.6knots and have 2618nm to the finish.

‘Imadjinn’ tops the Scottish

Miles Stratton and his A31 “Imadjinn” have topped the Scotttish sailing regattas with another season of outstanding results.

M34 Nominated for Yacht of the Year

The M34 has been nominated for European Yacht of the Year 2010/11.

Congratulations To British Soldier

It was a very victoroius Army Sailing Association team on British Soldier (A40RC) at the RORC annual awards. They were 2nd overall in the Seasons Points Championship, along with being named the best series produced IRC yacht. They also collected the Alan Paul Trophy for consistant high preformance in IRC and the Haylock Cup for best British Service Yacht in IRC.

British Soldier has intoduced many disabled serviceman to sailing and provides war veterans with much needed R&R.
